Lately, unplayable

Have enjoyed the series for years. Have had great customer service experiences in the past. However, am I the only one who thinks the challenges in the recent update arent fun because of the zombie spamming? I consider myself an above average player, but I cant see any sound strategy that doesnt involve spending your coins on power ups. I appreciate the attempt at new content, but I feel we took a step back to the coin (cash) grab a year ago.
